Color and creativity combine in fund-raiser.
Diane Boyer put an artistic spin on her design for the breakfast area. “It celebrates the traditional role of women in the kitchen. The female sculptures glow with beauty and nurturing and sharing with family.” Meanwhile, the wall of windows brings the outside in, and Boyer reflected that in the green color scheme of the window treatments, upholstery and wall color. Her interpretation makes this space so much more than a place to prep and consume meals. The kitchen area, she says, “is not only a place for cooking and eating. It is a place for quiet contemplation. It gives us a moment to enjoy the people in our lives who we value.”
The Designer Showhouse of New Jersey was in a Saddle River home built by Joseph DiStaulo Homes. The event benefited Hackensack University Medical Center (hackensackumc.org).
