Ren’s interest in design stems from his teen years when he visited a home in rural Pennsylvania. The late sun cast a glow on an upright grand piano and simple Shaker furniture. That warm, classic simplicity has stuck with him ever since. To this day, he strives, both at home and in Design NJ, for uncomplicated rooms you never want to leave. Ren draws on his decades of experience in the field of journalism to uphold a strict editorial policy that demands quality, accuracy and integrity.

Meg has spent 25 years in magazine publishing; the majority of that covering home design. She has an ability to capture the essence behind a wide range of design styles and has a keen eye for decor that has been honed from years of traveling the trade show circuit. She has helped earn the magazine top awards for outstanding media coverage of new home furnishings products and trends, and can navigate North Carolina’s High Point Market-the furniture capitol of the world-like it’s her hometown.

Marirose has spent her career as an editor and a writer. She has worked in various capacities in business communications and at book and magazine publishers, where her primary focus has been interior design, architecture, and landscaping. She was a freelance writer for Design NJ for 11 years before joining the staff full time in August of 2016. She enjoys the fact that her work has allowed her to interact with a wide variety of design leaders and is grateful for the privilege of being invited into the homes and lives of the families featured in the magazine.

These efforts support Design NJ ‘s printed magazine. A practicing artist since childhood, Madison has always had an eye for design and has used this natural skill in growing home and lifestyle brands online.

Deb O’Brien understands the critical importance of integrated, multi-platform advertising in today’s competitive media landscape. A native of New Jersey and a resident of Chatham, she has built a distinguished career in advertising. Her journey began as a media buyer on the agency side, followed by a focus on regional media as the Associate Publisher of Southern Living magazine. Currently, she serves as the Advertising Director for Design NJ, New Jersey Monthly and New Jersey Bride, bringing her expertise to all three of these brands.
