Gallery Jupiter is pleased to announce the opening of “Land, Sea and Other Stories,” an exhibition of Cathy Corcione’s most recent paintings. Corcione is a New Jersey painter who studied Art History at Princeton University. This is her third solo exhibition at Gallery Jupiter in Little Silver, NJ.
Cathy Corcione’s multilayered paintings juxtapose reality and fantasy, movement and stillness. Working primarily in acrylic and gouache on paper or canvas, they take their cue from the natural world.
One of her main areas of interest is water – oceans, rivers, and pools – where she has spent much of her time. She’s interested in how water moves, reflects light, and changes color, in water as a simple shape and in water as a trigger of emotions.
Her new exhibit “Land, Sea and Other Stories,” will be on display Oct 17 – Nov. 27. Meet Cathy Corcione Oct. 17th, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. All are welcome.
