All-American Style

In honor of our nation’s birthday, we round up what’s red, white, blue — and new — as our thoughts turn to the colors of the American flag, picnics, parades and memorable get-togethers with loved ones and friends.  Happy 4th!

  • The cheerful Carnival Napkin Ring — in a burst of red, white and blue — is paired with the Fiesta Napkin in navy and red. For a fuss-free soirée, the designer incorporated the Bamboo Melamine Plate and Chinoiserie Melamine Tumbler and Goblet.  All available through Kim Seybert.

  • A vintage Shibori textile established the global-inspired tabletop scheme created by Kim Seybert. The Fiesta Reversible Placemat in white and blue highlights the patterned runner with its playful laser-cut design.

  • A classic red bandana — tied around a glass vase — adds a fun, festive touch to the floral centerpiece with tiny flags for good measure.

  • Left: Fabrics from Premier Prints are saturated with a durable water repellent, which intensifies the products resistance to water, soil, oil and stains. Also great for use indoors in sunny or high-traffic areas.

Right: The buffalo check pattern — as seen on these totes —“are a big trend right now,” says Meg Curtis of Premier Prints.

  • Kick back on the Pelican Key Chair, new from Lexington’s Tommy Bahama Twin Palms collection.

  • Serena & Lily’s Rockport Square Ottoman — upholstered in a stain-resistant Sunbrella® fabric — won’t fade in the sun and can withstand a little rain, but its tailored restraint and crisp nautical look is great indoors, too.

  • Yellow Leaf’s Vineyard Haven Hammock is super-soft with a breezy, loose-knit design that keeps you cool on hot days.

  • Ox Bow Décor’s Lab Sailor Pillow wears stripes and stars with attitude.

  • The Utopia Chair channels patriotic vibes with its star spangled embellishment on its navy leather with red trim.

  • The Declaration of Independence from Picture Source Somerset measures 35″ x 23″ on a stretched canvas.

  • From Schwinn Fitness, the cherry red Classic Cruiser — scaled for small space living — channels the fifties with its retro pop art aesthetic.

  • Ox Bow Décor’s vintage-inspired pillows put a fun spin on what’s nautical and nice.

  • Lime & Leaf, a textile company created by two sisters from New Jersey, inspired a connection to all things coastal. Shown is the Sand Dollar Pillow in Water’s Edge and Coral, Sea Urchin Pillow in Midnight, and Sea Urchin Throw Blanket.

  • Villeroy & Boch’s new Montauk collection brings reserved elegance and a subtle maritime theme to the table. Glassware comes in clear crystal glass, sand and aqua (as shown).

  • Designed by Thom Filicia for Vanguard, the Copake Eagle Console makes a statement in Van Duesen Blue from Benjamin Moore. Available in a range of custom finishes.

  • New dog tag ornaments from Rosanna capture the spirit of those who served and those who support them.
